My time here on Guam is finally wrapping up(I know Ive been saying that alot lately) but forreal this time 😉 We are Whidbey Island bound in less than two weeks now. It really hits you that you are leaving when others, like the Tucker family are leaving too. Then you realize that everyone you’ve known over the past 3.5 years are all beginning new journeys and its so bitter sweet.
Our session together could not have been more perfect to wrap up my last family session here on Guam. We had to hide from the rain, but thats typical for this time of year. Once the rain passed, we had beautiful skies. The kids loved being on the beach. We played music, danced, laughed and got a little sandy. This family, like alot of families Ive been around, I have been able to watch them grow. Its amazing how fast kids grow! I think my favorite part about family sessions is watching the kids explore, have fun and really be able to have their personalities come out.
I used my Sigma 24-70mm lens. I typically do not use it often unless I am doing a birth session, but lately I have loved having it on. I will probably use it more when I move to Whidbey Island too to help capture more of that amazing scenery! (not that guam doesnt have amazing scenery too). If you ask me, I normally have on my Nikon 105mm. Its been my baby, but every now and then, its important to switch things up again.
Ive been nervous about moving to Whidbey Island, but right now I have a giveaway going on where ONE LUCKY PERSON will win a free family, senior portrait, or couple/engagement session with me. Go to www.facebook.com/annipowellphotography and see it on my page. If you’re on Whidbey Island, or the surrounding area, make sure that you head on over to participate 🙂
