Well guys its official, we are on Whidbey Island! What better way to kick off being at a new location than photographing a homecoming?! Homecomings are such sweet moments, and so they should absolutely be captured. I am so glad that I was able to do this, because Kayla and Ethan were friends of my husband at his first command and to be able to be there for their first homecoming was a special moment for me to capture for them.
Like most homecomings, I get anxious for the spouse as well, after months of not seeing you spouse, things can get nerve wracking. I know exactly how important these moments are, and to have them captured is important. When I found out that we would be on Whidbey Island when Ethan came back home after months away, of course I jumped at the opportunity to photograph it for them. Every homecoming is special, but your first one is one that you dont forget. I still have pictures around my house of our first one. So to be able to capture this for Ethan, Kayla and Kinley was such a great opportunity.
Anticipations were high as we were waiting for them to land, and then trying to find each other through a sea of people added to the excitement. You could feel all the connections of loved ones reuniting. It is truly such a wonderful feeling to be apart of.
I can not wait for more opportunities to photograph here! So far we have only been on Whidbey Island for about 4 days, so the time I have had to explore has been sparse. BUT I can not get over how gorgeous this area is. I will spare you all my “ohh” and “ahh” moments, but let me just say the gorgeous locations I have to photograph here are endless!
