If there is something I could say a million times, it is the importance of having quality pictures on your wedding day.. Even if it is an elopement.
I eloped, and you know what I have from that day, a selfie with my husband, it is the most treasured picture I have of us because that’s the first picture of us as man and wife. I always promised that I would give to couples getting married or eloping, everything I didnt have.
Cassidy sent me a message asking me if I could squeeze her in last minute for an elopement! Now when I say last minute, I mean that we had less than a week to plan the location, find a florist and a minister.. oh and get the MARRIAGE LICENCE! Plus then the regular prep of what to wear, hair, nails, makeup and all that good stuff!
Of course I agreed and we began planning.
On the big day, I met Cassidy and we walked down to the location which was right behind her house. She said this has been such a special spot for them since moving to the area, so it was important that their elopement be here. I was able to get a few shots of her alone, as every bride should have on her wedding day, and then I kept in contact with her soon to be hubby so that we could arrange the big reveal of them seeing each other for the first time.
I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t have tears in my eyes at this moment.
Watching these two lay eyes on each other for the very first time was everything! They shared this moment with those close to them and walked down to the location.
As they exchanged hand written vows promising to love each other forever, they finalized their promises with a kiss. You could feel the excitement. All the grins and smiles were permanent on their faces. When Collin looked at Cassidy, and when Cassidy looked at Collin.. it was pure bliss between the two. Literally nothing compares to that moment. Nothing.
Collin and Cassidy, I wish you both nothing but the best and a lifetime of happiness!
